At the edge of Sportpark Berestein in Hilversum lies the terrain of Handboogschutterij Hilversum.
As one of the largest archery clubs in the Netherlands, we offer everyone the chance to discover the sport of archery. Whether you want to shoot recreationally, are an amateur, or a seasoned athlete, you are always welcome at our club. We take pride in our relaxed and friendly atmosphere, where members truly feel at home.
Archery is a timeless sport that connects young and old. It’s a unique activity that brings generations together. The sport requires a remarkable combination of concentration, precision, and control, making it suitable for people of various ages and backgrounds.

The combination of a spacious shooting hall, a large friendly canteen, and a vast outdoor field with a tower on one single location is something that very few other archery clubs have.

We take pride in our relaxed and sporty atmosphere where everyone can feel at home. Whether you shoot longbow or compound, recreationally or competitively, indoors or in the field, you are always welcome here!
Certified trainers
We have certified trainers for all bow classes and competition disciplines. Whether you're a beginner or have been shooting for years, there is always someone available to help you improve and take that next step.
The venue
In our shooting hall, you’ll find no fewer than 12 lanes where you can shoot up to 25 meters! With the handy movable targets, it’s even possible to shoot at different distances simultaneously. This way, both beginners and seasoned archers can enjoy shooting together.
And let’s not forget the spacious canteen located on the side of the hall. Here, you can enjoy a unique view of the archers without disturbing their activities.
In the canteen, you can relax with a drink and chat before, during, or after shooting. More good news: The entire facility is wheelchair-friendly!
By the way, at our club, the combination of ‘sport’, ‘weapons’, and ‘alcohol’ is an absolute no-go. Our club is alcohol-free. Cheers to safe and enjoyable shooting!
Right next to our cozy clubhouse, you’ll find our outdoor range, where the fun continues! Fixed targets are set at 30, 50, 60, 70, and 90 meters, allowing you to practice standard outdoor distances. For variety, you can place a target or 3D target at any distance.
Did you know we also have a tower? From there, you can shoot downward, ideal for training for competitions with elevation changes, like field or 3D matches.
Don’t worry about the wind; the surrounding vegetation keeps you sheltered.
